Here to assist you: Malcolm McGregor!
Malcolm McGregor recently joined our staff as the Makerspace assistant. For now he is helping us focus on our marketing efforts, but he will be a great asset to the members and class participants that visit us here at the Makerspace.
Malcolm is a US Air Force Veteran and native of the Mid-Ohio Valley. A 2004 graduate of Warren High School, he credits his early education with laying a firm foundation in the arts and inspiring a life long passion for photography. While on active duty he completed a BA in Communications from Southern New Hampshire University, focusing primarily on Graphic Design.
He credits his diverse work history for fostering the development of his skills as a builder, maker and educator. He is already a woodworker, and enjoys learning new technologies and working in various mediums. Malcolm is excited to learn new skills as he becomes proficient in each of the Makerspace areas.
“I was fortunate that my K-12 education included such passionate educators and access to many hands on programs. Unfortunately, a lot of the programs that I found so valuable and inspiring no longer exist in our public schools. I’m excited for the opportunity to help bridge that gap, and inspire future generations to explore their own creativity."
I’m looking forward to bridging the gap between public education and creative workforce opportunities. I look forward to inspiring future generations and exposing the community to their potential to make.
