Makerspace members have access to any/all spaces during Makerspace hours (M 3:30-7 T-F 1-7 Sat 10:30-4) and can use any equipment they have been trained on so long as it has not been reserved by another member.
Makerspace members will be trained by Makerspace staff on any equipment they wish to use. Members can schedule training sessions after becoming a member. If members can demonstrate their competency on any piece of equipment to Makerspace staff, they will be permitted to use it without any tutorial.

Makers 14 and older can gain access to the equipment at BB2C Makerspace has to offer.
For Members 14-17 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must also possess a membership and be fiscally responsible for supply usage and potential damage to Makerspace property and equipment.
Members under 16 years of age are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Upon approval, members 16 and 17 years of age will be permitted to work on projects without an adult after being an active member for 3 months.
Children 8 years of age and younger are not permitted in the woodshop at any time.

No. Makerspace members will be trained by Makerspace staff on any equipment they wish to use. Members can schedule training sessions after becoming a member. If a member already knows how to use equipment, they will only need to demonstrate their ability to use the equipment to Makerspace staff.

A Makerspace membership gives you access to all Makerspace spaces. As long as you’ve demonstrated your ability to use the equipment in any given space, you’re free to use that space at any time during open hours, as long as it has not been reserved.
-
Short answer - Yes.
We try to keep a variety of materials on hand that can be purchased through our website, but to ensure you have the materials you need for the project you’re working on, it is best to bring your own supplies.
To purchase supplies from the Makerspace, scan one of the QR codes labeled “material payment” that is posted around the Makerspace.
-
Absolutely. BB2C Makerspace does not have a cleaning crew, and fully relies on members and staff to clean up after themselves in order to keep the space tidy.
-
We encourage you to bring guests to the Makerspace! They are permitted as long as they have signed-in and completed an emergency contact and liability release form. They are, however, not permitted in the woodshop. They are also not permitted to operate any equipment. If your guest would like to help with your project or do their own they will need to purchase a membership or punch card.

(Do I need to? Am I able to? How do I?)
Occasionally you may arrive at the Makerspace and find the equipment you were hoping to use is already in use. To avoid this, you can contact the Makerspace directly to reserve a time to use equipment. If equipment is not reserved it may be used on a first come, first served basis.
-
Yes. We do have some space reserved for storing small amounts of materials and projects at the Makerspace. A staff member will be happy to help you find and label a spot upon request.
