Eligibility: Resident of Washington County, OH or Wood County, WV, 2.5 minimum GPA, major in music or music education, based on music activities in school or church such as band, choir, musical theater, etc., preference given to residents of City of Belpre or Belpre Township residents
Dave Elmo Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Attend Wood County or Washington County high schools, 2.5 minimum GPA, 2- or 4- year degree or technical program college plan, based on senior high school golf team, academic achievement potential to achieve educational goals
David A. Couch Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Resident of Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, Wood, WV or Washington County, OH , major in massage, physical, or occupational therapy, based on personal commitment to service for individuals whose lives are affected by ALS or other neuromuscular or disabling disease as evidenced by volunteer or community service, preference given to massage therapy.
David Taylor Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Resident of PACF service area, 3.0 minimum GPA, major in accounting.
Dennis M. O’Callaghan Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Resident of Wood County, WV or Washington County, OH, GPA between 3.0 and 3.5, based on character, academic performance, work ethic, and community involvement, preference given to homeschooled students.
Estella Marie Schaber Scholarship
Eligibility: Resident of Calhoun, Gilmer, Doddridge, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Mason, Wirt or Wood Counties in WV or Washington County OH, preference of most deserving and financially needy student and to those not already receiving significant educational aid in the form of the WV Promise Scholarship or other significant scholarships
Glenn Wilson Broadcast Journalism Scholarship
Eligibility: High school student at Wood or Pleasants County, WV or Washington County, OH high school student, 2.5 minimum GPA, major in broadcast journalism, journalism, communications, or marketing, priority is given to those with the greatest financial need.
Holly Jackson-Wuller Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Plans to attend Marshall University, 2.5 minimum GPA, based on participation in school, church, and community activities, preference is given to those in crew, basketball, or cheerleading

Eligibility: High school student at Wood or Washington County (public, private schools, or homeschool) , 2.5 minimum GPA, plans to attend WV, Marietta College, Trade/Tech/Culinary or Certificate in PA or OH, preference given to Marietta College, pursuing math or accounting.
Laverne L. Gibson Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Resident of Wood or Washington County, based on academic achievement/potential, good moral character, and involvement in extra-curricular and/or community service activities, preference given to education major, particularly in special education.

The AK Steel Foundation Student Scholastic Award
Eligibility: Must be a student within the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio pursuing or beginning pursuit of study in the field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics; priority will be given to those with a specific focus of metallurgy; overall academic achievement, with a particular emphasis on high achievement and career interest in STEM fields, with a future commitment to work in Ohio; demonstrated financial need.
Amount: Scholarship awards and amounts will vary, depending on availability of funds. Scholarship awards are made payable directly to the institution of enrollment on the student’s behalf, for the purposes and expenses associated with tuition, fees, textbooks, and required supplies and equipment.
Ora E. Anderson Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be a graduating high school senior or possess a GED, and currently live and attend school within one of the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio; Attend a 2-year or 4-year institution of higher education to pursue post-secondary studies associated with the natural sciences, including but not limited to: forest and wildlife management; environmental restoration; natural and historical interpretation; ecotourism and related-disciplines associated with broadly protecting plants, animals, and the environment; Candidates who demonstrate overall commitment to environmental protection and conservation will be considered; ethical character, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, and financial need are evaluated; Academic performance will be considered, but the potential for success as evidenced by an individual’s commitment, interest and desire to achieve educational goals in the field of environmental sciences and/or conservation will be carefully considered.

Bob Evans and Wayne F. White Legacy Scholarship
Eligibility: Those applying must be graduating high school seniors or possess a GED, and currently live and attend school within the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio; Priority to those with significant financial need, and a demonstrated desire to succeed and overcome obstacles, as well as candidates who show outstanding character, academic excellence and extracurricular activities; Academic performance is considered, but potential for success through an individual's commitment, interest, and desire to achieve educational goals will be carefully considered.
Amount: Number and amount of awards vary annually, depending on availability of funds. Scholarship awards are made payable directly to the institution of enrollment on the student’s behalf, for all education-related expenses.
Jennifer Garrison Public Service Scholarship
Eligibility: Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors from Monroe, Noble and Washington counties; applicants must have held an elected position within their school’s student government and communicate a continued desire to be involved in public service; preference will be given to students with a grade point average between 2.5 and 3.5.
Amount: Five scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded annually.
The Mandy McGlumphy Social Work Scholarship
Eligibility: Applicants must be a graduating senior or past graduate of a school in the following counties: Belmont, Guernsey, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, or Washington; pursuing studies in the field of mental health, with priority to those pursuing social work or counseling

Ariana R. Ulloa Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: The scholarships are offered to international students and eligible noncitizens pursuing any field of study, as well as students pursuing a degree in international studies or international relations; those applying must already be accepted or enrolled full time in an accredited vocational school or 4-year college or university program; proof of enrollment is required; preference will be given to those who demonstrate financial need, show academic achievement, are involved with extracurricular activities and possess educational as well as personal life goals; students must be residing or studying in the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio, or in Franklin, Fairfield or Delaware counties.

Other Foundations and Local Scholarships
Eligibility: Completion of two-page application, signed and dated (written or digital); provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher, employer or other mentor figure; an essay consisting of no less than 250 words, and no more than 1 page in length (12 pt. font,single-spaced), detailing your career goals related to the natural gas and oil industry, and how your degree, or certificate, will help you towards your goals. Describe personal or family influences that guided you into this career path, and how you would use your education to help the natural gas and oil industry. Please also include any financial needs or special considerations; provide a resume that includes academic achievements, extracurricular activities, awards/recognitions, community service, and work history; provide current transcript; provide ACT and/or SAT test scores (if required by your educational institution).
Amount: $1,500 annual scholarship with a total of four years of potential eligibility. • If qualified, a renewal application must be completed.

Eligibility: Demonstrate and show a continued commitment to cultural and intellectual diversity, attend an OACAC member high school. Just one HS counselor needs to be a member to qualify, please check with your counselor to verify that your high school is an OACAC member, have an accumulated grade point average of 3.00 or better on a 4.00 scale in a college preparatory curriculum, required to attend an Ohio college or university, submit the Charles L. Warren Memorial Heritage Scholarship application, an official high school transcript, and counselor recommendation by the published deadline

The Ohio Township Association Scholarship
Eligibility: US Citizen residing in an Ohio township and plan to attend a two or four year Ohio college or university in the fall. Three scholarships are offered, Local Government Achievement, Trade School Scholarship, and Academic Achievement. Students may apply multiple but will only be awarded one. Applications must include a form, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a 500 word essay. Washington Electric Cooperative, Inc. Children of Members

The Mark C. Studenic Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Washington County residents pursuing a post-secondary degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. Renewable if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.

The Washington County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Eligibility: Parents, grandparents, or guardian of the applicant must have been Farm Bureau members for three years or more; or applicants must have been enrolled in 4-H or FFA for 2 or more years. Applicant must be a Washington County High School senior or graduate with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Applicant must be recommended by two teachers and or employers. Applicant must be enrolled in a two or four-year program.

The Robert E. Evans Education Fund
Eligibility: Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, have demonstrated financial need with preference being given to those students having a higher need. A Student Aid Report (SAR) from FASFA is required with the application, reside within a Peoples Bank market area, and be a high school senior in pursuit of a four-year degree in the areas of business, education, engineering, liberal arts, math, science or technology.

Some highlights are: must have achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, must work 240 hours from January 1, 2024 until the commencement of the 2024 fall semester in college, and applicant’s adjusted gross household income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $85,000.
Amount: Up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, funds to purchase college essentials, an HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage, funds to study and travel abroad, and the opportunity to extend the Hagan Scholarship to obtain a graduate or profession degree.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship
Eligibility: Be a high school senior in the U.S. who is currently enrolled in or who has completed a high school or college dual degree course where computer science, engineering, or robotics is the subject. Students who have not taken this course can opt-in to take an assessment offered by Amazon; Must be authorized to work in the US. Example: Employment Authorization Document holder, Permanent Resident, or US Citizen; Must demonstrate financial need; Be planning to attain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or other computer science related field of study from an accredited 4-year college or from a 2-year college with the intent to transfer to a 4-year college; Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
Amount: up to $40,000 (up to $10,000/year) towards an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science and an offer to complete a summer internship at Amazon

Cunningham Scholarship Application
Eligibility: Undergraduate students must be from the Appalachian region, declared in an Arts and Sciences major, and enrolled full-time at OSU during the 2023-2024 academic year.
