Meet our newest staff member

Edited by Mya Smith, Warren High School

My name is Hunter Warsinsky and I’m the new Placement Coordinator at Building Bridges to Careers.  My job is to find job shadowing and internship opportunities for students. The cool thing about my job is that I have to be a detective when finding placements for these students. It is up to the student to choose what field they want to go into. With that said, if anyone knows a Biofuel Engineer, please let me know. I have a student who would love to know more!

I am 30 years old and I graduated from WVU in 2012 with a BA in English. This is where I met my wife, Larkin, and we have been married for three wonderful years. We’ve lived in Marietta for two years with our golden retriever and very soon- in May- a baby boy named Hank. We are very excited!

My wife was asked to be a part of a mental health panel held last semester for BB2C. She told me about the group and what BB2C does for the community. I was really surprised to hear how amazing the program is. I applied as soon as I saw an opening and thankfully landed the gig. Working with students and helping them prepare for tomorrow's workforce has given me a great appreciation of what I do for a living. I’m glad to be an advocate for these amazing students.

In my role of Placement Coordinator, I will be working to find job shadowing and internship opportunities for students. I am looking forward to helping students figure out what they want to do, or even get an idea of what's out there for them! Searching for hard to find placements and making connections with businesses is another part of the gig I am excited for. I appreciate everyone who has helped me find my sea legs these first few weeks and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
