2019 Business Partners of the Year

Building Bridges to Careers’ overarching goal is to bridge the gap between education and employment. Founded in 2012, we have been building programs, partnerships, and relationships ever since. It’s quite difficult to bridge the gap between education and employment if our employers are not involved.  In fact, it couldn’t be done without them. After 8 years of partnering, it's high time we recognize the businesses that are helping us make this happen.

The board members of Building Bridges to Careers have established the BB2C Partners of the Year program in order to recognize the local employers that are not only trying to solve the workforce problem in our region, they are giving back to the community in ways they may not realize...they are changing the lives and trajectories of students in our communities.

The 2019 Building Bridges to Careers Partners of the Year provided mentors for middle school students, places for students to learn about local career options through job shadowing and internships, they talked with whole families at Family Career Awareness Day, attended meetings to lend their voices and listen to others, they have given their time, their money, and their expertise. They answered the call, they have taken ownership of this work, and they are helping to activate more educators, business representatives, and community members. They deserve to be recognized and we appreciate the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce for this opportunity.
