Meet Our New Expansion Coordinator

Jordan Spence, Regional Expansion Coordinator

Hello! My name is Jordan Spence. I am the Regional Expansion Coordinator for Building Bridges to Careers. I am a graduate of Shenandoah High School, class of 2015, and attended Zane State College, where I earned a degree in Business Management and Human Resources.

I am getting ready to get married to the love of my life, Sydney, this summer. Together we share a love for our puppies, Duke, Milo, and Willow, the Calais Baptist Church youth group we teach, our families, and baseball. (Go Reds!)  We spend a much of our summer at Great American Ballpark and the beach.

I have a lot of things that I do for fun and most of them all have to do with baseball. I played baseball at Ohio University Zanesville for three years. After completing college, I earned at tryout with the Cincinnati Reds in July of 2019. Most evenings I go to my old high school field and hit and throw. I am an assistant coach at Shenandoah High School and am also a head coach for Little League.  My fiancé and I are both very outdoorsy people and are hardly ever inside.

I was drawn to Building Bridges to Careers as soon as I read about what they do on the website. Not only does BB2C help students, but also businesses and teachers as well. My role as the expansion Coordinator is to really be a “bridge” between students, schools, and businesses. I will be seeing what programs schools are using and not using and showing them what BB2C can do to help. I will also be helping with the camps to better help students prepare for interviews.

I am most looking forward to watching students get into the field that they genuinely love right out of school. I once thought I knew what I wanted to do but I was so wrong and wasted time. I want to help prevent that and truly help these students succeed.

Email Jordan to say “hi”.
