Our School Partners

Fostering relationships to inspire career choices is what Building Bridges to Careers is all about.  It is the core of our mission.  But it is through our school, and business, partnerships that we are able to work with students to provide them with the educational resources, entrepreneurial mindset, and hands-on experiences needed to inspire their career choices.  We want to take a moment to highlight our school partners and talk about the work we do with the schools, teachers, and students.

The BB2C Epicenter in Marietta works in seven school districts in Ohio and one school in West Virginia:

  • Belpre City

  • Fort Frye Local

  • Frontier Local

  • Marietta City

  • Warren Local

  • Washington County Career Center

  • Williamstown High

  • Wolf Creek Local

Our Career Mentoring program, run by our Mentor Coordinator Barb Schafer, is currently available to middle school students through six of our Ohio school district partners.

Our Job Shadowing and Internship program opportunities, overseen by our Placement Coordinator Hunter Warskinsky, are available to 10th - 12th grade students attending all of our partner schools.  As is our Student Ambassador program.

And our Family Career Awareness Day, open to 7th - 12th grade students and their parents, and our Discover Day Series, open to 9th - 12th graders, are also open to students from all of our school partners.  These one-day events are put on by our Program Facilitator, Tonya Davis.

Students Solving Problems is a unique program developed collaboratively with the Marietta Community Foundation, the Washington County Behavioral Health Board, and HPAC of Washington County that oversees student organizations in six high schools and is overseen by Students Solving Problems Coordinator Suzy Zumwalde.

We also offer resources and training opportunities to teachers in all of our partner schools, including our Problem Scenario Library. Teacher professional development opportunities for summer 2020 will be announced soon.

Thank you to all of the schools and school districts that partner with BB2C to offer our programs to their students.
