Meet Alyssa and Brice, Ohio University Summer Interns
BRICE BRIGHTBILL
Hello! My name is Brice Brightbill and I am a senior at Ohio University studying corporate finance with an interest in human resources. I started my college career in mechanical engineering but realized quickly that was not the path I wanted to go down.
During this summer, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I had pleasure of working for BB2C. I was brought on to work on this year's virtual STEM camp as well as being tasked with creating human resources infrastructure for the upcoming growth of BB2C.
Something I learned and am taking away is that you have to keep an open mind on everything you do. No one way is going to work for everything you are doing. Different companies do different things and even different people think in different ways. So always be willing to have an open and honest conversation about what you are doing or what you want to do.
ALYSSA VANDALE
Hello! My name is Alyssa Vandale, I go to Ohio University with a major in computer science. In the future I would like to start my own tech company that would contract out any resources we have available to assist in designing, creating, and marketing technology.
This summer, I helped with the STEM Summer camp, I planned and ran the activities and classes with the Boys and Girls Club, and I assisted with the summer camp for Ely Chapman.
I have built up my people skills and so many other skills that I thought I’d never use. I rediscovered my love for creative arts along with affirming my love for technology. Also, I discovered the feeling of helping a kid spark a passion for something. The thing that I learned that has impacted me the most is that not everything goes to plan. Some stuff just happens and it can mess up everything or make it even better; you just have to roll with the punches.
