2020 Business Partners of the Year

BB2C bridges the gap between education & employment. Yet our programs, projects, and events, which work with students in middle and high schools in Washington County and Williamstown, wouldn’t be possible without the support and involvement of local organizations.

We are excited to announce our 2020 Business Partners of the year; those who have gone above and beyond to help our students on their journeys to their careers.

Our Career Mentor Business Partner of the Year is The Village Cakery, for their enthusiastic, multi-year engagement with middle school students.

Our Job Shadowing Business Partner of the Year is the Washington County Public Defender’s Office, because they are always willing to talk to high school students about different career paths in law.

Our Internship Business Partner of the Year is Pro1 Electric, who had such a successful internship opportunity for a student that they ended up hiring the student afterwards.

Our Family Career Awareness Day Business Partner of the Year is OTCO. OTCO provided the online platform when this annual event for students and families had to pivot and become virtual.

Our Discover Days Business Partner of the Year is Burgess & Niple. Not only did they sponsor and take part in our Discover Engineering Day, they were actually the catalyst for making this event happen.

Our Problem Scenario Library Business Partner of the Year is Miba Bearings, who helped expand real-world experience to students and educators outside of Washington County in 2020 through the BB2C Network and who brought learning to life by introducing robots into the classroom.

Our Small Business Incubator Business Partner of the Year is the Family Counseling & Rehabilitation Center of Ohio. They not only have an ever-expanding office space in the Epicenter; they were also involved in multiple student activities throughout this past year.

Our Makerspace Business Partner of the Year is Micro Machine Works, who kept our machines going and ensured that we could continue to be a community hub for creativity and hands-on learning during the pandemic.

Our Overall Business Partner of the Year is Marietta Health System. Not only are they a BB2C Foundation Partner and the exclusive sponsor of our Career Mentoring Program, they were also involved in both Real World Problem Scenario and our Discover Healthcare Heroes Day.

Thank you to ALL the businesses who have been involved in supporting our students, schools, and communities.
