Our Award-Winning Staff
It's no secret that BB2C has an amazing group of dedicated staff members who work everyday to foster relationships between schools, businesses, and civic organizations to inspire career choices through our projects, programs, and events. Recently, two of our staff members received recognition for their outstanding work and passion.
BB2C's founder and Executive Director, Tasha Werry, was awarded Marietta Chamber of Commerce's 2021 Gabe Zide Citizen of the Year. Her professional and academic work striving to bridge the gap between education and employment for students in Washington County and beyond, as well as her service and dedication through the Rotary Club and school district, were noted in her receiving this prestigious award.
Allision Rickert, our first Director of the BB2C Network, as well as our Education Engagement Specialist, received Rural Action's 2021 Sustainability Award in the Sustainable Partner category for her work creating a regional network to share what BB2C is doing while helping to translate it to localized models for other communities. "This is one of the best partnerships I have been part of during my 11 years at Rural Action", said Joe Brehm, Rural Action's Environmental Education Director about Allison receiving the award.
