I really learned what type of engineering I would and would not want to do.

Students are also equipped with the knowledge and abilities to make positive choices for themselves, and to encourage their peers to make healthy decisions.

This was a great example of an event that provides a way for education and business to network.

By the end of the event, students and mentors from all across Washington County were laughing and talking.

A free event scheduled for January 31, titled: The Future of Smart Mobility in SE Ohio, marks the kick-off of this conversation. Buckeye Hills Regional Council is hosting the event and is looking to include teachers and community leaders from Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Monroe, Noble, Morgan, Perry, and Washington Counties. 

Taylor’s advice to other high school students is to “take advantage of the internship program, it’s a great way to learn about possible careers and extremely beneficial with college applications.” 

For the first time ever, the BB2C Makerspace took the show on the road and created a Pop-up Makerspace in the Stanley and Grass building so that we, too, could participate in the magic of Moonlight Madness.

The staff of the Makerspace and Building Bridges to Careers will be temporarily relocating some portions of the Makerspace to the old Stanley & Grass Co. store front at 166 Front Street, this Friday for a pop up event!

Dr. Norris has been a wonderful member of the Epicenter. 

Dr. Howell related to the students as he was also from a small community in Pennsylvania.
